Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on various mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, smartwatches) across multiple brands and operating systems.
  • Perform intricate repairs, including screen replacements, battery replacements, charging port repairs, camera repairs, and precision component-level soldering.
  • Conduct thorough functional and quality assurance testing of devices post-repair to ensure full functionality and adherence to company standards.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with customers regarding repair estimates, progress updates, and technical explanations in an understandable manner.
  • Manage inventory of repair parts and tools, ensuring accurate stock levels, proper storage, and timely ordering of replacements as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with all company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Stay updated with the latest mobile technology, repair techniques, diagnostic tools, and industry trends through continuous learning and training.
  • Adhere to all company operational policies, repair procedures, and ethical guidelines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, building trust and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the repair process.

Required Skills

  • Proven proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mobile device hardware and software issues.
  • Strong knowledge of various smartphone operating systems (iOS, Android) and their common problems.
  • Demonstrated experience with micro-soldering and component-level repairs on circuit boards.
  • Ability to effectively use a range of diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and repair instruments.
  • Excellent manual dexterity, precision, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for complex technical challenges.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of data recovery techniques for mobile devices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in local languages such as Shona or Ndebele, in addition to English.
