Job Description

Webdev (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Remote Chatbot Conversation Improvement Specialist to join our innovative team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in refining and optimizing the conversational flows of our AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants. Your primary objective will be to ensure our chatbots provide intuitive, helpful, and human-like interactions that effectively address user queries, provide accurate information, and guide users seamlessly through various processes.
Working remotely from Lupane, Matabeleland North Province, you will dive deep into chatbot performance data, analyze user feedback, and identify areas for linguistic enhancement, intent recognition improvement, and overall conversational design. This role requires a blend of linguistic expertise, analytical prowess, and an understanding of user psychology. You will collaborate closely with AI developers, product managers, and customer success teams to translate complex technical functionalities into clear, concise, and empathetic chatbot responses. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze chatbot conversation logs and user feedback to identify pain points, common misunderstandings, and areas for improvement in NLU (Natural Language Understanding) and NLG (Natural Language Generation).
- Design, write, and refine chatbot scripts, intents, entities, and responses to ensure clarity, accuracy, brand consistency, and an optimal user experience.
- Develop and implement strategies for handling complex queries, edge cases, and unexpected user inputs effectively.
- Collaborate with AI engineers and product teams to test, deploy, and monitor new conversational features and improvements.
- Conduct A/B testing on different conversational approaches to measure impact on user engagement and resolution rates.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in conversational AI, UX writing, and natural language processing.
- Provide linguistic expertise to train and fine-tune chatbot models, improving intent recognition and response accuracy.
- Document conversational design patterns, guidelines, and best practices for future chatbot development.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (2+ years) in a role focused on chatbot design, content writing, UX writing, or similar.
- Strong understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Natural Language Understanding (NLU) concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with an emphasis on clarity, conciseness, and empathy.
- Demonstrable experience with conversational flow design and scriptwriting.
- Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights from conversation logs and user feedback.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Proficiency with common chatbot platforms (e.g., Dialogflow, IBM Watson Assistant, Microsoft Bot Framework) or similar AI tools.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Communications, English, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
- Experience with A/B testing and experimentation in conversational design.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Understanding of user psychology and human-computer interaction principles.
- Basic understanding of AI/Machine Learning concepts relevant to conversational AI.
