Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive fitness assessments and consultations to understand client goals, health history, and current fitness levels.
  • Design and implement individualized exercise programs that are safe, effective, and tailored to meet specific client needs and objectives.
  • Provide expert guidance on exercise techniques, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications to promote holistic well-being.
  • Motivate, inspire, and support clients to adhere to their fitness plans, overcome challenges, and celebrate achievements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress tracking and program adjustments.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming training environment, adhering to all facility policies and safety protocols.
  • Actively participate in ongoing professional development and maintain current certifications and first aid qualifications.
  • Engage with the fitness community and contribute to promotional activities to attract and retain clients.
  • Manage flexible scheduling effectively to accommodate client needs while optimizing personal work-life balance.

Required Skills

  • Certificate IV in Fitness (SIS40215 or SIS40221) or equivalent.
  • Current Senior First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a certified Personal Trainer.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective, individualized exercise programs.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and exercise science principles.
  • Proven track record of client retention and goal achievement.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma of Fitness or Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field.
  • Specialized certifications (e.g., strength and conditioning, corrective exercise, pre/post-natal fitness).
  • Experience with diverse client populations, including those with special needs or chronic conditions.
  • Proficiency in using fitness tracking software and client management systems.
  • A strong personal commitment to health and fitness as a lifestyle.
