Career.zycto is actively recruiting on behalf of a reputable private healthcare facility located in Maryland, Lagos, for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Doctor. This pivotal role requires a General Practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a dynamic clinical environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, managing patient care pathways, and providing preventative health education. As a Medical Doctor, you will be at the forefront of patient care, utilizing your clinical expertise to provide comprehensive medical services. Your daily activities will span from conducting thorough examinations and interpreting diagnostic tests to formulating effective treatment plans and providing ongoing patient education. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless coordination of care and optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient examinations, diagnose illnesses, and provide appropriate medical treatment.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (e.g., lab tests, X-rays) to determine medical conditions.
  • Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
  • Counsel patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, and allied health staff, to coordinate patient care.
  • Participate in continuous professional development activities and stay updated with the latest medical advancements and best practices.
  • Adhere strictly to medical ethics, professional guidelines, and relevant healthcare regulations in Nigeria.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as required.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of health programs and initiatives within the facility.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from a recognized institution.
  • Full registration and current practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  • Minimum of 3 years post-NYSC clinical experience as a Medical Doctor, preferably in a general practice or hospital setting.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient management abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic medical procedures and emergency care.
  • High level of empathy, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification or membership in a relevant medical college (e.g., Family Medicine, Public Health).
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Additional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS).
