As a Medical Doctor, you will be at the forefront of patient care, utilizing your clinical expertise to provide comprehensive medical services. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient examinations, diagnose illnesses, and provide appropriate medical treatment.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests (e.g., lab tests, X-rays) to determine medical conditions.
- Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury.
- Counsel patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including specialists, nurses, and allied health staff, to coordinate patient care.
- Participate in continuous professional development activities and stay updated with the latest medical advancements and best practices.
- Adhere strictly to medical ethics, professional guidelines, and relevant healthcare regulations in Nigeria.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care as required.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of health programs and initiatives within the facility.
Required Skills
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from a recognized institution.
- Full registration and current practicing license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Minimum of 3 years post-NYSC clinical experience as a Medical Doctor, preferably in a general practice or hospital setting.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient management abilities.
- Proficiency in basic medical procedures and emergency care.
- High level of empathy, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification or membership in a relevant medical college (e.g., Family Medicine, Public Health).
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Additional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS).
