Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic team in Esperance, Western Australia. Working closely with our finance department, you will perform a variety of essential accounting tasks, from managing accounts payable and receivable to assisting with payroll and reconciliations. Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate entry of invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and assist with month-end closing procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and summaries.
  • Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records, both physical and digital.
  • Support payroll processing by collecting and verifying timekeeping information and other relevant data.
  • Handle general ledger postings and assist with audit preparations.
  • Respond to vendor and client inquiries regarding accounts.
  • Adhere to company financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance support role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate IV in Accounting or Business Administration (Finance).
  • Previous experience working in a regional Western Australian business environment.
  • Experience with inventory management or project accounting.
