Key Responsibilities
- Perform precise alterations on a wide range of garments including suits, dresses, trousers, skirts, and coats to ensure an impeccable fit.
- Take accurate body and garment measurements, marking alterations clearly and precisely.
- Consult with clients to understand their needs and preferences, offering expert advice on fitting and styling.
- Conduct fittings, making necessary adjustments and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Execute complex re-sizing, restyling, and repair work with high-quality craftsmanship.
- Maintain and repair sewing machines and other tailoring equipment.
- Manage work orders, ensuring timely completion of alterations and meeting deadlines.
- Handle various fabrics, including delicate and expensive materials, with care and expertise.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in garment alteration, repair, and custom stitching.
- Strong knowledge of various fabric types, garment construction, and tailoring techniques.
