Key Responsibilities
- Receive and accurately process in-room dining orders, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are noted.
- Prepare and assemble food and beverage orders according to established standards, ensuring presentation quality.
- Deliver orders to guest rooms promptly and courteously, adhering to service etiquette.
- Present invoices and collect payments accurately, handling cash and credit card transactions responsibly.
- Clear used dishes and equipment from guest rooms and service areas in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the room service pantry and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, front desk, and other departments to ensure seamless service.
- Resolve guest concerns or complaints with professionalism and efficiency, escalating when necessary.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, anticipating guest needs and exceeding expectations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in customer service, preferably in hospitality or food service.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift (up to 25 lbs), and push/pull carts for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and payments.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Room Service Attendant or in a similar hotel/restaurant role.
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures.
- Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
