Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead educators in implementing daily programs and activities for children aged 0-5.
- Supervise children during playtime, meal times, and rest periods, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Help maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized learning environment, including tidying play areas and cleaning equipment.
- Support children with personal care routines, such as nappy changing, toileting, and hand washing.
- Observe and record children's behaviour and development, reporting any concerns to the lead educator.
- Assist with the preparation and serving of nutritious snacks and meals.
- Engage children in positive interactions and foster a sense of belonging and community.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with children, parents, and team members.
Required Skills

- Basic understanding of child development principles (or willingness to learn).
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) in South Australia (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards).
- Previous volunteer or work experience with children.
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Experience in a diverse or inclusive early learning setting.
