Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage daily on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
  • Supervise and coordinate direct labour, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring efficient resource allocation and productivity.
  • Implement and enforce strict health and safety procedures, conducting regular safety briefings and site inspections to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Monitor construction progress, identify potential delays or issues, and develop proactive solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure all work meets GCCL's high standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide on-site teams and resolve technical queries.
  • Manage site logistics, including material delivery, storage, and equipment deployment.
  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, progress reports, and incident reports.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of project reports, cost analysis, and budgeting.
  • Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health and safety standards on construction sites.

Preferred Qualifications
