Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced technicians with various repair, maintenance, and diagnostic tasks across diverse equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment by regularly cleaning tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Retrieve and stage tools, parts, and supplies efficiently for technicians as needed.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks under supervision, such as fluid checks, tire inspections, and filter replacements.
- Help with the preparation of equipment and vehicles for service, cleaning, and customer delivery.
- Properly dispose of waste materials, including hazardous substances, adhering strictly to environmental and company guidelines.
- Assist in documenting work performed, parts used, and other relevant information as directed by senior staff.
- Support inventory management by assisting with receiving, organizing, and tracking shop supplies and parts, reporting any shortages.
- Operate various shop equipment and machinery safely and effectively after receiving appropriate training.
- Contribute positively to team efforts and maintain open communication with all shop personnel.
Required Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine eagerness to learn new technical skills.
- Ability to comprehend and accurately follow verbal and written instructions.
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools and a willingness to learn their proper use.
