Greggs is looking for an experienced Work from Home Supply Chain Officer to join our dynamic team, operating from the vibrant hub of Newcastle upon Tyne. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor inventory levels across various distribution centres to minimise waste and ensure optimal stock availability.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- Coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound shipments, optimising routes and methods for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Analyse supply chain data, identify trends, forecast demand, and provide insights to improve operational performance.
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within the supply chain and propose and implement solutions for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, production, sales, and retail teams to ensure alignment on supply chain objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, quality standards, and internal company policies.
- Utilise supply chain management software and ERP systems to track, manage, and report on all supply chain activities.
- Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance, presenting findings and recommendations to management.
- Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions and potential delays.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Supply Chain, Logistics, or Procurement role.
- Demonstrable experience with supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and strong Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Understanding of demand forecasting and inventory management principles.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, APICS CSCP/CPIM).
- Experience working in the Food & Beverage or FMCG sector.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.
