Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of hotel premises, including guest areas, common areas, back-of-house, and exterior grounds, to deter and detect any suspicious activities.
- Monitor surveillance cameras (CCTV) and alarm systems, responding promptly and appropriately to any alerts or observed irregularities.
- Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents, fire alarms, security breaches, and disturbances, taking immediate action to ensure the safety of all individuals.
- Enforce hotel policies and procedures firmly and respectfully, addressing violations with discretion and professionalism.
- Investigate all incidents, complete detailed reports, and provide accurate documentation for management and, if necessary, law enforcement agencies.
- Assist guests and staff with security-related inquiries, concerns, and situations, providing exceptional service while maintaining security protocols.
- Maintain a highly visible presence to actively deter criminal activity and ensure a feeling of safety and security among guests and employees.
- Coordinate effectively with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other external agencies when required for serious incidents.
- Conduct bag and vehicle searches as per hotel policy and security protocols.
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary and ensure proper medical support is sought.
- Manage access control points, ensuring only authorized personnel and guests enter restricted areas.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a security-related role, preferably within the hospitality industry or a similar customer-focused environment.
- Excellent observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to remain calm, composed, and effective under pressure and in stressful situations.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English, with strong report-writing abilities.
- Demonstrated physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency response procedures.
- Familiarity with standard security protocols, procedures, and equipment (e.g., CCTV, access control systems).
- High level of integrity, honesty, and professional conduct.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with diverse individuals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience specifically in hotel security or a luxury hospitality establishment.
- Formal training or certification in conflict resolution, de-escalation techniques, or defensive tactics.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., ASIS, CPPS, or local security guard licenses).
