Job Description
The Access Control Assistant plays a pivotal role in maintaining the security and integrity of our premises. Based in Trans-Ekulu, Enugu, this full-time position requires a vigilant and detail-oriented individual to manage entry and exit points, monitor surveillance systems, and ensure strict adherence to access protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor access control systems, CCTV, and other security equipment to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Verify identities and meticulously grant or deny access to authorized personnel and visitors, adhering strictly to security policies.
- Issue, manage, and retrieve access cards or credentials, ensuring accurate record-keeping and system updates.
- Maintain accurate logs of all entries, exits, and security incidents, preparing detailed reports as required.
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections of designated areas to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, security breaches, and emergency situations, following established protocols.
- Liaise with internal teams and external security agencies as required, fostering collaborative security efforts.
- Provide clear and concise security briefings to visitors and new staff, ensuring awareness of site-specific regulations.
- Assist in the enforcement of company security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance by all individuals.
- Report any suspicious activities or security concerns to management immediately, documenting observations thoroughly.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of access control hardware and software issues to maintain system functionality.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in operating access control systems and surveillance equipment (CCTV).

- Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective under pressure during incidents.
- Basic computer literacy, including experience with MS Office Suite.
