Key Responsibilities
- Assist in corporate finance engagements including mergers & acquisitions, valuations, and due diligence.
- Perform comprehensive audit procedures for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare and review corporate and personal tax computations, advising clients on tax planning opportunities and compliance.
- Conduct financial analysis, modelling, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with relevant accounting frameworks (e.g., UK GAAP, IFRS).
- Liaise directly with clients to gather information, provide updates, and explain complex financial and tax matters.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, tax legislation, and corporate finance best practices.
Required Skills
- ACA/ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice, ideally within corporate finance, audit, or tax departments.
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Proficiency in tax legislation for corporate and personal tax.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
