Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee financial reporting, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead and support external audit processes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and accounting standards (e.g., FRS 102, IFRS).
- Prepare corporate tax computations, returns, and ensure timely submission to HMRC.
- Provide expert advice on corporate finance matters, including financial modelling, due diligence, and capital structure optimization.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls and financial policies.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and recommending strategic improvements.
- Liaise with internal departments, external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant financial regulations and legislations.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional development.
- Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
Required Skills
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, with significant exposure to corporate finance, audit, and tax.
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex financial information clearly.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
