Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain the general ledger, performing journal entries, reconciliations, and ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in accordance with established timelines and procedures.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic business decisions.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in advanced accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Enterprise, SAP, Oracle NetSuite) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
