In this critical role, you will be instrumental in managing all financial aspects related to our international sponsorship programs, ensuring meticulous record-keeping, accurate financial reporting, and strict compliance with relevant domestic and international tax laws and immigration regulations. Your responsibilities will span the full accounting cycle, from processing invoices and expense reports for sponsored individuals and projects to performing reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and assisting with month-end and year-end close procedures specifically for our global initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage all financial transactions and records pertaining to international sponsorship programs.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, statements, and budgets with a focus on international activities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international tax laws, GAAP, and IFRS where applicable.
- Collaborate with HR and legal departments to ensure financial aspects of immigration and sponsorship comply with regulations.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and payroll for sponsored employees and international projects.
- Perform monthly and yearly close procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Handle foreign currency transactions, conversions, and revaluations accurately.
- Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for international accounts.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity within international finance operations.
- Research and interpret complex international accounting standards and tax regulations.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with exposure to international finance or sponsorship.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
