Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including verifying invoices, coding expenses, and preparing payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and various general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with payroll processing, including data entry, verifying hours, and preparing relevant reports.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records, both physical and digital.
- Support month-end and year-end close procedures, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports and summaries as required by management.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Perform general administrative duties within the accounting department.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP systems).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of proven experience in an accounting assistant or similar role.
