Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our vibrant Finance Team in Bestwood, Nottingham. Your day-to-day will involve meticulously processing invoices, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and supporting various accounting functions. Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely payments/collections.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring all financial transactions are correctly recorded.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Maintain organized and comprehensive financial records and documentation.
  • Support the payroll process by verifying data and assisting with related reconciliations.
  • Handle queries from suppliers and clients regarding invoices and payments.
  • Assist in the preparation for external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and procedures.
  • Perform general administrative duties as required by the finance department.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Demonstrable understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
