Career.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our growing finance team in Stockport, Manchester. Key Responsibilities
- Process and post incoming payments (cheques, electronic transfers, credit card payments) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Generate and distribute invoices, statements, and credit memos to clients.
- Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and initiate collections procedures, including making phone calls and sending correspondence.
- Reconcile customer accounts by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
- Resolve client billing discrepancies and answer customer queries promptly and professionally.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts receivable.
- Maintain accurate and organised financial records and documentation.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles is a plus but not essential for entry-level.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- A-Levels or equivalent qualifications, preferably in a business or finance-related subject.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) is an advantage, but not required.
