Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate accounts receivable records, ensuring all transactions are processed promptly and correctly.
- Generate and distribute customer invoices in accordance with company policies and contractual agreements.
- Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and initiate collection activities through various communication channels (phone, email, mail).
- Perform daily cash application and reconciliation of customer accounts, resolving discrepancies efficiently.
- Prepare regular accounts receivable aging reports and other financial analyses for management review.
- Collaborate closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing disputes and customer queries.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations related to accounts receivable.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of German accounting principles and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounts receivable processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients to facilitate timely payments and address any financial concerns.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Officer or in a similar financial role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, DATEV, or similar ERP systems).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and German accounting standards (HGB).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both German and English.
