Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner, coordinating with relevant departments as needed.
- Prepare detailed reconciliation reports and summaries for management review, highlighting significant variances and their resolutions.
- Ensure all reconciliation activities adhere to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes by ensuring all accounts are accurately reconciled.
- Develop and implement process improvements for reconciliation activities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain organized and comprehensive records of all reconciliation documents and communications.
- Support internal and external audit requests by providing accurate and timely documentation.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Accounts Reconciliation Officer or similar accounting role.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sage) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively with flexible hours.
