Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of actuarial models used for pricing, reserving, forecasting, and capital management.
- Collect, validate, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies relevant to actuarial calculations.
- Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and documentation summarizing actuarial findings and recommendations for internal stakeholders.
- Support senior actuaries with various projects, including experience studies, product development, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Contribute to the automation and efficiency of actuarial processes and tools.
- Participate actively in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development programs, including actuarial exams.
- Conduct research on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes impacting actuarial work.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong foundational understanding of actuarial principles and statistical concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data visualization).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced professional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of one or more actuarial exams (SOA or CAS).
