As an Aerospace Engineer at Career.zycto, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and analysis of advanced aerospace systems, components, and structures. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop aerospace components, systems, and structures using advanced CAD software.
  • Perform detailed stress, thermal, and vibration analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools.
  • Conduct aerodynamic and flight mechanics simulations to optimize aircraft and spacecraft performance.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical specifications, design documents, test plans, and engineering reports.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams, manufacturing, and project management on project execution and problem-solving.
  • Ensure all designs and analyses comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Participate in formal design reviews, offer constructive feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovation.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support project lead activities as needed.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in aerospace design, analysis, or development.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD).
  • Strong understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) principles and practical experience with tools like ANSYS or NASTRAN.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of aerodynamics, flight mechanics, structural mechanics, and propulsion systems.
  • Experience with aerospace regulatory compliance (e.g., Transport Canada, FAA, EASA) and airworthiness requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Superb communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for licensure in Saskatchewan.
  • Experience with specific aerospace materials, advanced manufacturing processes, and prototyping.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for analysis, data processing, and automation.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering principles and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Experience in project management or leading small technical teams.
