Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated and experienced Agricultural Officer to join our team in Cybercity, Ebene. This pivotal role involves conducting thorough inspections of agricultural operations, providing expert advice to farmers and producers, and ensuring compliance with national and international agricultural standards and regulations. The successful candidate will be instrumental in promoting best practices in crop management, animal husbandry, food safety, and environmental stewardship across various agricultural sub-sectors. You will be expected to travel frequently to farms and agricultural sites across the island, applying your knowledge to identify areas for improvement, mitigate risks, and foster sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular on-site inspections of farms, agricultural facilities, and processing units to assess compliance with agricultural regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
- Provide expert technical advice and guidance to farmers, agricultural businesses, and stakeholders on best practices in crop cultivation, livestock management, pest control, soil health, and irrigation techniques.
- Monitor agricultural production systems for potential disease outbreaks, pest infestations, and other threats, recommending timely and effective control measures.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, outlining findings, non-compliance issues, and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of agricultural policies, standards, and training programs.
- Investigate complaints related to agricultural practices, product quality, or environmental impact, offering resolutions and preventative strategies.
- Collaborate with government agencies, research institutions, and industry associations to stay updated on new regulations, technologies, and market trends.
