Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior researchers in the planning and execution of agricultural experiments in field, glasshouse, and laboratory settings.
- Collect, record, and organise data accurately and consistently, ensuring data integrity.
- Perform routine laboratory tasks, including sample preparation, analysis, and equipment maintenance.
- Monitor crop growth, plant health, and environmental conditions.
- Assist with the maintenance and calibration of research equipment.
- Support data entry, preliminary statistical analysis, and report generation.
- Maintain detailed and organised records of experimental procedures and results.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the research environment.
- Contribute to the general upkeep and organisation of the research facility.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an agricultural, biological, or scientific research setting.
- Strong understanding of basic agricultural principles and scientific methodologies.
- Proficiency in data collection, recording, and basic analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to follow detailed protocols and work independently or as part of a team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
