Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough on-site agricultural assessments, diagnosing crop, soil, and livestock issues.
- Develop and implement tailored advisory plans for individual farmers, cooperatives, and agribusinesses.
- Provide practical training and capacity building to farming communities on best practices, new technologies, and sustainable agriculture techniques.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented agricultural interventions and provide corrective actions.
- Collect and analyze field data to inform project design, impact assessments, and reporting.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, recommendations, and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Liaise effectively with research institutions, government agencies, NGOs, and other industry stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of the latest agricultural innovations, market trends, and relevant policy developments.
- Contribute to the development of grant proposals and project frameworks to secure funding for new initiatives.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Horticulture, Animal Science, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in agricultural extension, field advisory, or farm management.
- In-depth knowledge of diverse cropping systems, livestock management, soil health, and pest/disease control.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with farmers from various backgrounds.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of developing practical solutions.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and comprehensive report writing.
