Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic AI Engineer with a strong focus on model training, evaluation, and automation to join our innovative team in Bishopbriggs, Glasgow. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying robust machine learning models that power our next-generation solutions. This position requires a deep understanding of various machine learning algorithms, model lifecycle management, and MLOps principles. You will be responsible for creating automated pipelines for data ingestion, model training, validation, deployment, and continuous monitoring. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement machine learning models from conception through to deployment, with a particular emphasis on training, evaluation, and optimization.
  • Build and maintain robust MLOps pipelines for automated model training, versioning, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, researchers, and product teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications for AI solutions.
  • Perform rigorous model evaluation, hyperparameter tuning, and performance analysis to ensure high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data augmentation strategies to optimize model performance.
  • Research and integrate new AI/ML technologies, frameworks, and best practices into our existing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and debug production AI systems, ensuring their stability and performance.
  • Document technical designs, processes, and results clearly and comprehensively.
  • Contribute to code reviews and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Python and relevant ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras).
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures, and statistical modeling.
  • Experience with MLOps principles and tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid experience in building and managing data pipelines for machine learning workflows.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their ML services.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices for machine learning systems.
