Job Description
We are actively seeking a dedicated and physically capable Air Freight Loader to join our dynamic team in Museu, Nampula, for an immediate start. This critical role is integral to the smooth operation of our air cargo services, ensuring that goods are handled efficiently, safely, and in accordance with all regulatory standards. As an Air Freight Loader, you will be responsible for the meticulous loading, unloading, sorting, and movement of diverse cargo on and off aircraft, as well as within our warehouse facilities. This position requires a strong commitment to safety protocols, excellent teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be a vital link in the supply chain, directly contributing to our promise of delivering goods on time and in perfect condition. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload air freight cargo from aircraft, trucks, and ULDs (Unit Load Devices).
- Perform accurate sorting, scanning, and stacking of freight according to established procedures and labels.
- Operate various material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and skilled manner (training may be provided).
- Conduct thorough inspections of cargo for damage and discrepancies, reporting any issues promptly to supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety regulations, aviation security protocols, and operational guidelines.
- Assist in the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and cargo handling areas.
- Complete necessary documentation and manifests accurately for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy packages (up to 25 kg) repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling cargo and documentation.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to read labels, complete forms, and follow instructions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to workplace safety and security protocols.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and noise levels typical of an airport/warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a warehouse, logistics, or cargo handling environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Knowledge of basic air freight terminology and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
