Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with the installation, calibration, and maintenance of air quality monitoring equipment (e.g., samplers, sensors, meteorological stations).
- Conduct routine site visits to collect air samples and retrieve data from monitoring devices.
- Perform basic diagnostic checks and troubleshooting on field equipment under supervision.
- Accurately record and document field observations, data readings, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare and transport collected samples to laboratories for analysis, ensuring proper chain-of-custody procedures are followed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company standard operating procedures.
- Support data entry and preliminary analysis of collected environmental data.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Maintain inventory of field supplies and equipment, reporting needs to supervisors.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project status and any issues encountered.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic understanding of environmental principles or science
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely
