In this pivotal role, you will be the welcoming face of the airline, ensuring a smooth and stress-free start to our passengers’ journeys. You’ll handle a variety of tasks from processing check-ins and baggage to assisting with special requests and resolving travel-related queries. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet passengers warmly and assist them with the check-in process, ensuring adherence to airline policies and security regulations.
  • Verify passenger identification, travel documents, and visa requirements.
  • Process baggage, ensuring correct tagging and handling procedures are followed, and advise passengers on weight and size restrictions.
  • Issue boarding passes and provide accurate information regarding flight schedules, gate assignments, and other travel details.
  • Assist passengers with special needs, including unaccompanied minors, passengers requiring wheelchairs, or those with language barriers.
  • Handle passenger queries, re-bookings, and resolve issues such as missed flights, delayed baggage, or special requests with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Operate airport systems and equipment, including check-in counters, boarding gates, and public address systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with airport security, ground staff, and other airline personnel to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain a high level of situational awareness, adhering to all safety and security protocols at all times.

Required Skills

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanor during challenging situations.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling documents and information.
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems and willingness to learn airline-specific software.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Right to work in the UK and ability to pass a full background check and obtain an airport pass.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably within the travel, hospitality, or retail sector.
  • Familiarity with airport operations and airline check-in procedures.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is a plus, though not essential.
