Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist passengers with a friendly and professional demeanor, answering inquiries and providing accurate information.
- Process passenger check-ins, verify travel documents, and assign seats.
- Handle baggage operations, including tagging, lifting, and loading/unloading luggage.
- Operate ground service equipment as trained and certified (e.g., baggage tugs, jet bridges) under supervision.
- Ensure compliance with all airport safety and security procedures and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with flight crews, airline personnel, and ground staff.
- Assist passengers with special needs, including unaccompanied minors, elderly passengers, and those requiring wheelchair assistance.
- Resolve minor customer service issues and escalate complex situations to supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas and equipment.
- Adhere to strict on-time performance standards for flights.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain airport security clearance and SIDA badge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds, stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
