Key Responsibilities
- Process passenger check-ins, issue boarding passes, and handle baggage according to airline policies and safety regulations.
- Provide accurate and timely information to passengers regarding flight schedules, delays, cancellations, and gate changes.
- Assist passengers with special needs, including unaccompanied minors, elderly travelers, and individuals requiring mobility assistance.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints efficiently and professionally, ensuring a positive passenger experience.
- Coordinate with ground staff, flight crews, and other airport personnel to facilitate on-time departures and arrivals.
- Operate airport equipment such as common-use terminal equipment (CUTE) and baggage handling systems.
- Ensure compliance with all airport security procedures and safety protocols.
- Process documentation related to passenger manifest, cargo, and mail as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at the check-in counters and gate areas.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (university, college, or trade school).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, accommodating academic schedules.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and stand for extended periods.
