Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload passenger baggage, cargo, and mail onto and from aircraft, ensuring proper weight distribution and security.
- Operate various ground support equipment (GSE) such as tugs, baggage carts, belt loaders, and aircraft steps safely and efficiently.
- Marshal aircraft to and from parking stands, guiding pilots with precise hand signals.
- Perform aircraft pushback operations using specialized equipment, in coordination with flight deck crew.
- Conduct pre and post-operation checks on ground support equipment to ensure readiness and report any malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and organized ramp area, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.
- Communicate effectively with flight crew, air traffic control, and other ground personnel using radio communication.
- Adhere strictly to all airport safety regulations, company policies, and security procedures.
- Assist passengers with special needs and provide exceptional service when required.
- Respond to unforeseen operational changes and emergencies with professionalism and efficiency.
Required Skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security pass and all necessary certifications.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to strict operational procedures.
- Excellent physical fitness, capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 32 kg) and working in various weather conditions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Clear communication skills in German and basic English.
- Valid German Class B driving license (or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a logistics, warehouse, or physically demanding role.
- Experience with ground support equipment (GSE) operations.
