Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload passenger luggage, cargo, and mail from aircraft.
- Operate and maintain ground support equipment (e.g., tugs, belt loaders, baggage carts).
- Sort and transport baggage to designated areas for outbound flights or retrieve for inbound.
- Assist with passenger boarding, verifying documents, and guiding them to aircraft.
- Marshal aircraft to and from parking stands using clear hand signals.
- Conduct pre-use checks of ground support equipment and report any faults promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all airport safety and security regulations and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with flight crews, gate agents, and other ground staff for efficient aircraft turnaround.
- Work effectively as part of a diverse team in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
- Respond quickly to operational changes and adapt to new instructions as required.
Required Skills
- Excellent physical fitness and stamina for manual handling and outdoor work.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 23kg/50lbs) repeatedly and safely.
