Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough security checks of passengers, staff, and their belongings using X-ray machines, metal detectors, and manual searches.
- Monitor and control access points to restricted areas, verifying identification and authorisations.
- Operate and interpret screening equipment, identifying prohibited items or potential threats.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, security breaches, and emergency situations, following established protocols.
- Liaise with airline staff, law enforcement, and other airport personnel to ensure coordinated security efforts.
- Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of designated areas to deter and detect suspicious activities.
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security activities.
- Provide clear and polite instructions to passengers and staff regarding security procedures.
- Adhere strictly to all aviation security regulations, company policies, and national guidelines.
- Maintain a high level of vigilance and situational awareness at all times.
