Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Registered Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians with animal handling and restraint during examinations and procedures.
  • Learn to prepare instruments and surgical suites for various veterinary surgeries.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures under direct supervision.
  • Perform basic laboratory tasks such as preparing samples for analysis.
  • Assist with the cleaning and maintenance of examination rooms, surgical areas, and kennels.
  • Shadow and learn about client communication, record-keeping, and appointment scheduling.
  • Develop proficiency in administering medications and vaccinations as directed by veterinary staff.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for animals and staff.
  • Actively participate in training sessions and continuous learning opportunities.
