Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality 2D or 3D character and object animations using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate with directors, art leads, and other team members to understand project requirements and vision.
- Translate storyboards and animatics into compelling animated sequences.
- Ensure all animations adhere to project style guides and technical specifications.
- Iterate on animations based on feedback, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
- Manage time effectively to meet production deadlines.
- Maintain and organize animation files and assets efficiently.
- Contribute creative input and problem-solving solutions to animation challenges.
- Stay updated with the latest animation techniques and software advancements.
- Actively participate in team reviews and brainstorming sessions.
Required Skills
- Fluency in English (written and verbal).
- Proficiency in 2D and/or 3D animation software (e.g., Maya, Blender, After Effects, Toon Boom Harmony).
- Strong understanding of animation principles (timing, spacing, weight, anticipation, etc.).
- Proven experience in character animation, motion graphics, or visual effects.
- Excellent portfolio demonstrating a range of animation styles and technical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and storytelling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Animation, Fine Arts, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Experience with rigging and skinning characters.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, MEL) for animation tools.
- Experience with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) for real-time animation.
- Familiarity with various render pipelines and compositing software.
- Previous experience working in a studio environment.
