Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough and systematic cleaning of all assigned apartments, villas, and guest accommodations, including bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, and kitchens, adhering to resort standards.
- Execute dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing of all surfaces to ensure a pristine and gleaming condition.
- Efficiently change linens, make beds to exacting specifications, and replenish all guest amenities according to established resort protocols.
- Rigorously clean and sanitize all fixtures, appliances, and high-touch common points to maintain impeccable hygiene.
- Empty trash receptacles and promptly transport waste to designated disposal areas, ensuring proper waste management.
- Report any observed maintenance issues, damages, or potential safety hazards immediately and accurately to supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, as well as all resort policies and procedures.
- Manage cleaning supplies efficiently, ensuring proper usage, storage, and inventory levels.
- Collaborate effectively and harmoniously with team members and other departments to ensure seamless operational flow and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a consistently professional, courteous, and friendly demeanor with all guests and colleagues.
- Be available for varying shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as per the flexible scheduling arrangements and operational needs.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or housekeeping, preferably within a hotel, resort, or high-end residential setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Ability to work diligently and effectively both independently and as an integral part of a cohesive team.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs), pushing, and standing for extended periods.
- Unquestionable reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are paramount.
- Good understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment, with an absolute emphasis on safe and proper usage.
- Basic communication skills in English or Swahili to effectively interact with guests and colleagues.
- Ability to meticulously follow instructions and complete assigned tasks efficiently and to high standards.
