Career.zycto is seeking a highly organised and passionate A&R Administrator to join our bustling London team. This pivotal full-time role offers an incredible opportunity to be at the heart of talent discovery and artist development. As an A&R Administrator, you will provide essential administrative and logistical support to our A&R team, ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities that drive our mission to find and nurture the next generation of musical talent. You’ll be instrumental in maintaining our robust systems, coordinating with artists and external partners, and supporting the creative vision of our A&R managers. This is more than just an administrative role; it’s a gateway into the fast-paced, exhilarating world of music, where your organisational prowess directly contributes to bringing groundbreaking music to life. You will play a crucial part in the lifecycle of every artist we work with, from initial demo submission to project completion, making a tangible impact on their careers and our company’s success. Your work will directly support the identification, signing, and development of artists, requiring discretion, professionalism, and a genuine love for music.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and organise the A&R demo submission process, including logging, tracking, and distributing new material to the A&R team.
  • Maintain and update the A&R database with accurate artist information, contacts, and project statuses.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, studio sessions, travel arrangements, and appointments for A&R managers and artists.
  • Assist with the preparation of contracts, deal memos, and other legal documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Process invoices, expenses, and manage budgets related to A&R activities.
  • Act as a key liaison between the A&R department, artists, management teams, and other internal departments (e.g., Marketing, Legal, Finance).
  • Support in the creation of presentations, reports, and pitch documents for artist development and signing meetings.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
  • Undertake general administrative duties to ensure the efficient functioning of the A&R department.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience (2+ years) in an administrative or assistant role, preferably within the music, entertainment, or media industry.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and approachable demeanour.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database management systems.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A genuine passion for music and a solid understanding of current music trends and the wider industry landscape.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree or relevant qualification in Music Business, Arts Administration, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with CRM software or specialised music industry platforms.
  • Experience with basic contract administration.
  • Understanding of copyright and intellectual property rights in music.
