As an A&R Administrator, you will be the backbone of our creative talent acquisition and development efforts, providing essential support to A&R managers and executives. Your role will involve a wide array of administrative tasks crucial to the smooth operation of scouting, signing, and developing musical talent.
Key aspects of this role include managing complex schedules, coordinating travel arrangements for artists and executives, meticulously preparing expense reports, and maintaining an organised database of contacts, demos, and artist information. You will be instrumental in the initial stages of artist discovery, assisting with research into emerging talent, tracking industry trends, and managing submissions. Furthermore, you will play a vital part in the contractual process by preparing documentation and ensuring all necessary paperwork is processed accurately and promptly. Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to A&R managers and executives.
- Manage complex calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements.
- Prepare and process expense reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Maintain and update artist databases, demo submissions, and contact lists with meticulous attention to detail.
- Assist with research into emerging artists, music trends, and industry insights.
- Draft and prepare various documents, including contracts, agreements, and presentations.
- Act as a primary point of contact for external queries related to A&R submissions and general departmental inquiries.
- Coordinate studio bookings, listening sessions, and showcase events.
- Manage and track departmental budgets and invoices.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in an administrative or support role, preferably within the music or entertainment industry.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
