Career.zycto is on the lookout for a highly organised and proactive A&R Administrator to join our bustling team in Farncombe, Godalming. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a keen interest in the music industry to support our Artist & Repertoire department, ensuring the smooth and efficient management of projects from inception to release. The A&R Administrator plays a crucial role in the lifecycle of artist development and music production, acting as a central point of contact and coordination for various stakeholders, including artists, producers, legal teams, and internal departments.

You will be instrumental in managing crucial documentation, scheduling, and communication, directly contributing to the success of our artists. This role demands exceptional organisational skills, a meticulous eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced creative environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and organise A&R department schedules, meetings, and travel arrangements.
  • Coordinate communication between A&R managers, artists, producers, and external partners.
  • Prepare, review, and manage contracts, agreements, and other legal documents in collaboration with the legal team.
  • Maintain comprehensive databases of demos, artist submissions, and project statuses.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and budget tracking for A&R projects.
  • Assist with the logistical planning and execution of recording sessions, photoshoots, and video shoots.
  • Conduct preliminary research on emerging artists, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Support the compilation and distribution of internal reports and presentations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of assets and information to other departments (e.g., marketing, digital, legal).
  • Handle general administrative duties to ensure the efficient operation of the A&R department.

Required Skills

  • Proven administrative experience, ideally within the music or entertainment industry.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A genuine passion for music and understanding of the music industry landscape.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Business, Arts Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with project management software.
  • Familiarity with intellectual property rights in music.
  • Knowledge of digital audio workstations (DAWs) or music production software.
  • Previous experience supporting A&R executives or creative teams.
