As an A&R Administrator at Career.zycto, you will be the indispensable backbone of our Artist & Repertoire department, providing essential administrative and logistical support that enables our A&R managers to focus on what they do best: finding and developing the next generation of musical talent. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of A&R activities, from meticulously managing demo submissions and maintaining comprehensive artist databases to coordinating complex recording sessions, scheduling meetings, and arranging travel logistics for our A&R team and artists. You will work closely with A&R managers, artists, producers, engineers, legal teams, and external partners, acting as a central point of contact and ensuring all administrative tasks are handled with utmost efficiency and professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and log all incoming demo submissions, ensuring a streamlined review process for A&R managers.
- Maintain and update comprehensive artist and contact databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate schedules for A&R managers, including meetings, studio sessions, showcases, and travel arrangements.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and budget tracking for the A&R department.
- Assist with the preparation of contracts, licensing agreements, and other legal documentation in liaison with the legal team.
- Generate regular reports on demo submissions, artist activity, and market trends for strategic review.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal departments (e.g., Marketing, Legal, Finance) and external partners.
- Organise and facilitate listening sessions, presentations, and team meetings.
- Provide general administrative support to the A&R team as required, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, ideally within the music or entertainment industry.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated passion for music and a broad knowledge of current music trends and genres.
