Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive A&R Administrator to join our burgeoning team in Leeds. This full-time role is crucial in supporting our A&R department, ensuring the smooth and efficient management of artist development projects, from initial discovery through to release. You will be the linchpin that connects creative vision with operational excellence, providing essential administrative support that allows our A&R managers to focus on talent scouting and artist relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the A&R team, including calendar management, travel arrangements, and expense reporting.
  • Manage and maintain artist databases, contact lists, and project files with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist in the preparation, distribution, and tracking of artist contracts, licensing agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Coordinate recording sessions, demo submissions, showcases, and meetings, ensuring all logistical details are meticulously handled.
  • Liaise effectively with artists, management, producers, and internal departments (e.g., legal, marketing, finance) to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Process invoices, manage budgets, and track project-related expenditures.
  • Conduct preliminary research on emerging artists, industry trends, and competitive landscapes to support A&R initiatives.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as required by A&R management.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, actively participating in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.

Required Skills

  • Proven administrative experience, preferably within the music or entertainment industry.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with keen attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and articulate demeanour.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
