Job Description

Career.zycto is thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity for a passionate and astute A&R Representative to join a forward-thinking record label in Reading, England. This role is perfect for an individual with an innate ability to spot emerging talent, a deep understanding of music trends across various genres, and a robust network within the music industry. As an A&R Representative, you will be at the forefront of talent acquisition and artist development, playing a pivotal role in shaping the label’s roster and future successes.

Your primary responsibility will involve diligently scouting for new artists, producers, and songwriters who possess unique potential to captivate global audiences. This goes beyond just listening to demos; it involves attending live shows, monitoring social media, collaborating with managers and publishers, and truly immersing yourself in the music scene. Once talent is identified, you will be instrumental in nurturing these relationships, guiding artists through their creative process, and assisting in the recording and production of their music. This requires a keen ear for commercial viability balanced with artistic integrity.

Furthermore, you will act as a crucial liaison between artists and various internal departments, including marketing, publicity, and legal. Your insights into market trends and competitor activities will inform strategic decisions, ensuring that our artists’ releases are positioned for maximum impact. This role demands excellent communication, negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We are looking for someone who is not afraid to take initiative, champion new sounds, and contribute significantly to a vibrant and innovative label environment. If you are driven by music and dedicated to helping artists achieve their full potential, this is the perfect platform for you to make a tangible difference in the industry.
