Key Responsibilities
- Actively scout and identify new musical talent across various genres through live shows, online platforms, and industry networks.
- Cultivate strong relationships with artists, producers, managers, and other industry professionals.
- Evaluate demo submissions, analyze market trends, and assess the commercial viability and artistic potential of prospective artists.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on potential signings for internal review and decision-making.
- Negotiate and finalize artist contracts in collaboration with legal counsel.
- Oversee artist development, including song selection, production guidance, and creative direction.
- Liaise with marketing, publicity, and distribution teams to strategize and execute artist releases.
- Attend industry events, showcases, and conferences to stay abreast of emerging trends and talent.
- Maintain an organized database of contacts, submissions, and scouting leads.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in A&R, talent scouting, or artist relations within the music industry.
- Demonstrable track record of identifying and signing successful artists.
- Profound knowledge of current music trends, genres, and the independent music scene.
- Exceptional networking and relationship-building abilities.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in music industry software and digital scouting tools.
