Key Responsibilities
- Actively scout and identify new musical talent (artists, bands, songwriters, producers) across various genres through live performances, online platforms, industry contacts, and unsolicited submissions.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with artists, managers, producers, and other key industry figures.
- Attend live showcases, concerts, and industry events to assess artist potential and market viability.
- Conduct thorough research on market trends, competitive analysis, and emerging sounds to inform scouting strategies.
- Prepare detailed talent reports, including artist background, music analysis, market potential, and strategic recommendations for executive review.
- Assist in the negotiation and acquisition of recording and publishing contracts for promising artists.
- Collaborate with the artist development and marketing teams to support signed artists through their initial career stages.
- Monitor and analyze music charts, streaming data, and social media trends to identify commercially viable talent and genre shifts.
- Act as an internal champion for new artists, presenting their vision and potential effectively to internal stakeholders.
- Travel as required to scout talent, attend events, and build networks.

- Established network of contacts within the Canadian music scene, particularly in Saskatchewan.
- Familiarity with digital audio workstations (DAWs) and music production basics.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
