Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Architect to join our dynamic team in Gordon Town, St. Andrew. Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural projects from initial concept development through to construction administration, ensuring adherence to design intent, budget, and schedule.
- Develop comprehensive architectural drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation using industry-leading software.
- Conduct site visits, perform site analysis, and oversee construction progress to ensure compliance with design documents and quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
- Mentor and guide junior architects and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and other relevant legal requirements.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently.
- Prepare and present design proposals and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Research and integrate sustainable design practices and innovative building technologies into projects.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- Registered Architect in Jamaica (or eligible for immediate registration).
- Minimum of 5 years of post-licensure experience in an architectural design firm.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant design software.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and team leadership.
- Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and material specifications.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- LEED Green Associate or Accredited Professional certification.
- Experience with BIM implementation and management.
- Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of successful projects.
- Proficiency in 3D rendering and visualization software (e.g., V-Ray, Enscape).
