Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of ground surfaces for asphalt application, including clearing, grading, and compacting.
- Shovel, rake, and spread asphalt materials evenly and to specified depths.
- Operate hand tools such as rakes, shovels, and brooms for asphalt finishing and site clean-up.
- Help with the safe loading and unloading of construction materials and equipment.
- Support paver and roller operators in maintaining consistent asphalt flow and compaction.
- Perform general labour duties on job sites, including lifting heavy materials, digging, and other physical tasks.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Assist with traffic control as needed, following established guidelines to ensure public and worker safety.
