Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain professional audio recording equipment, microphones, and mixing consoles.
- Record, edit, mix, and master audio for various projects including music, podcasts, voice-overs, and multimedia content.
- Perform sound design, foley, and SFX integration to enhance narrative and production quality.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure all audio outputs meet professional standards and client specifications.
- Collaborate with producers, directors, and artists to understand project requirements and achieve desired sonic outcomes.
- Manage and organize audio assets, ensuring proper cataloging and archiving.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with audio equipment and software promptly and efficiently.
- Stay updated with industry trends, software advancements, and new audio technologies.
- Adhere to project timelines and deliver high-quality audio within specified deadlines.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, or Ableton Live.
- Strong understanding of acoustics, signal flow, and audio processing techniques (EQ, compression, reverb, etc.).
- Demonstrable experience in multi-track recording, mixing, and mastering.
- Familiarity with various microphone types and their appropriate applications.
- Excellent ear for detail and critical listening skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Audio Engineering, Music Production, or a related field.
